CUPA functions from multiple centres in Bangalore city. All the centres work directly with injured, abandoned and wounded animals, birds and reptiles.
CUPA Centre at the Municipal Dog Pound in Koramangala works to its utmost capacity at sterilizing & immunizing 900 community dogs per month. It is also handling the collection of animals from the West zone of the Bangalore city. This activity entails working closely with the Bangalore City Corporation who have placed the management of the city's only existing Dog Pound, squarely in CUPA's charge.

CUPA continues to conduct programmes on compassion towards animals in schools, colleges and other public forums. Occasional school trips are organized for the release of rehabilitated birds and reptiles. CUPA's volunteers have brought tremendous awareness among children and the programme is very popular.
CUPA conducts a 2 day Animal Welfare Officers' Training Programme to enable people to provide First Aid to injured animals, handle cases of cruelty with knowledge of the laws pertaining to Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act (1960). On successful completion of the course, Identity cards are issued.
