About  [Edit]

Our Purpose

The Purpose of Mixed Greens is to improve the health and academics of children by re-establishing their relationship to whole foods through the use of vegetable gardens and kitchen classrooms.

Our Mission

Mixed Greens and the Blandford Nature Center have combined and now share a common mission to invite children and the community to connect to the land, to food and to their surroundings through meaningful hands-on experiences that lead to sustainable and healthy choices.

Our Vision

The vision of the Blandford Nature Center & Mixed Greens is to cultivate nourish and sustain a generation of leaders, citizens and communitys who have a deep relationship with the land and therefore embrace and advocate for sustainable living.

Our Philosophy

Children and adults learn best through personal experience.  Our job is to invite our community to get their hands dirty in nature - whether that be standing knee-high in water to learn about stream ecology or planting squash seeds to start a garden.  We deliver powerful experiences that create passion and drive to make the world a healthier and more sustainable place for all.
