About [Edit]
Laneo is an innovative organization with a simple mission: We are working hard to restore the planet. Founded by Andrew Paterson in 2007, Laneo is an international organization built by serious outdoor buffs. We have over 17,000 members in 22 countries. Our name comes from the Hawaiian word _alaneo_, which means "the beauty of nature in its most peaceful moments." We find, fund and help execute eco-projects that restore the planet. These are hands-on, grassroots efforts like cleaning up a creek bed or repairing a sensitive trail. Our vision is to see overused, neglected natural sites regain their health and beauty, thanks to hundreds of thousands of community-based eco-cleanup events.
