Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association has been the leader in protecting the open space of the Wissahickon Valley, in enhancing its water quality, and in educating people of all ages about environmental concerns. During this time, WVWA, a non-profit conservation group, has preserved hundreds of scenic acres for future generations, and has worked to ensure prudent management of the natural resources throughout the Wissahickon watershed.



WVWA’s Mission is to protect the quality and the beauty of the Wissahickon Creek and to enhance life in the watershed by:



* Protecting and enhancing open space.

* Promoting awareness of environmental issues through education.

* Promoting wise land use.

* Preserving historic sites important to the history of the Wissahickon.
