The Passive house center in the Czech Republic aims to spread the passive house concept in the country. The different awareness actions should lead to an increase in demand for passive house building, accompanied by a parallel increase in supply of services and products in this field. Planned actions focus on marketing campaigns about sustainable building and in particular on the passive houses targeted to wide public, transfer of knowledge and experience on international conferences, excursions, and other tools like specialized library and energy calculating software. The main tool will be the specialized internet gateway containing detailed information about passive houses both for the public and professionals. General consultancy services about passive houses are also provided by the centre.

The passive houses have the potential to reduce energy consumption up to 75% compared to standard buildings. The expected increase in built passive houses within the next year in the Czech Republic is 300 %.

Reduction in CO2 emissions is expected to reach 78 tons in the next year thanks to the energy savings in passive houses.
