About  [Edit]

The North Snohomish Watershed Council is an educational non-profit organization here to help you learn how to keep and maintain our beautiful watersheds clean and healthy.

- NSWC coordinates native vegetation salvages for volunteers and for area citizens to obtain native plants to enhance their wetland or watershed property.

- NSWC offers watershed and habitat education programs to area schools. If interested in how your school may participate or in volunteering with these programs, please contact NSWC.

- NSWC also offers "How to Keep Watersheds and Habitat Areas Healthy" support instruction to home owners associations and others interested in what they can do to keep our lakes, streams, rivers, and wildlife healthy.

- A primary project of NSWC is the sponsoring of Snohomish County's acquisition of 15.6 acres on Lundeen Parkway in Lake Stevens as a wetland and habitat interpretive park. This land not only includes important double stream headwater wetlands, but is also a nesting site of "George and Martha", a pair of Bald Eagles often seen at the north end of Lake Stevens. NSWC is seeking tax deductible contributions to help make this preservation project a reality for the region.
