WiserEarth in Different Languages

Launched in 1992, Opportunity International UK forms part of a global network of 42 microfinance organisations working in 28 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe, and five support organisations in the United States, Canada, Australia and Germany, as well as the UK.

Opportunity International UK exists to empower people and communities in the world's poorest countries to overcome poverty and to secure sustainable improvements in the quality of their lives. It works through micro-enterprise and community development programmes. It provides poor people a sustainable way to help themselves and an opportunity to develop small businesses, strengthen communities and transform their lives, by supporting partner organisations that provide access to sustainable financial services, training and advice.
