Helping Animal Rescues and Shelters Save Lives - The Merrick Fund Foundation provides grant funding to central Pennsylvania rescues and shelters for emergency and catastrophic medical care expenses for treatable adoptable animals.
The Merrick Fund Foundation is a 501c3 public charity where donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
Named after Merrick a yellow lab who was left behind to starve to death, he was found and taken into custody, where he died more than 18 hours later, not ever seen by a vet. We exist so that other animals do not suffer this inhumane treatment.
So far, with community support, we have been able to honor every legitimate grant request and our goal is to continue to do so. 
100% of the administrative costs of this fund are paid by the Director, so all donations are used exclusively for medical care.
