About [Edit]
RockRose Institute, a 501(c)(3) public charity, is the primary organizer of Facing Violence: Justice, Religion and Conflict Resolution - World Forum 2007. RockRose supports, promotes and advances non-violent conflict resolution through education, improved communication and a deeper understanding of justice. It was founded in 2004 by four women attorneys.
We fulfill our mission by supporting public forums for interdisciplinary dialogue and training in communication skills. Inclusion of youth and the arts deepens and strengthens our programs. We support the creation of educational tools, materials and programs for individuals, educators and community leaders.
In support of our mission, RockRose:
ENGAGES AND EMPOWERS youth and elders to learn, practice and bring dialogue skills to inter-generational forums.
CO-SPONSORS events in academic, business and non-profit communities to foster dialogue that bridges viewpoints and strengthens learning.
CONSULTS with diverse organizations in designing large-scale events to deepen participant connection and maximize impact.
BRIDGES individuals, community leaders and organizations to expand cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural dialogue so they might stimulate creative solutions to seemingly intractable problems.
