Our Mission Statement
The Mission of Capital Region Audubon Society is to conserve and protect birds and wildlife habitat through advocacy and education.
Our Vision
* A well-respected, proven advocate for conservation and protection of local habitat.
* A knowledgeable organization that provides credible information based on scientific fact.
* A reliable source of professional quality educational programs about birds, wildlife and the environment.
* An organization that has two-way communication with its membership.
* An organization that invites others to work cooperatively.
* An organization that fulfills the needs and expectations of its membership.
* Recognized as interpreting the relevance of habitats to the Capital Region`s varied population to gain their support in conservation efforts.
* Having 10% of its membership actively involved.
* Having our chapter publicly recognized as an effective advocate for Important Bird Areas [IBAs].
