About [Edit]
Our Philosphy and Mission:
- Originally founded by the Abraham family, the Alexander Abraham Foundation has redefined itself as not-for-profit organization with an environmental and conservation focus under the leadership of President Nancy Abraham. AAF is dedicated to conserving the environment without boundaries and to defending indigenous wildlife with an emphasis on protection of endangered species.- AAF pursues its mission at the local level by establishing relationships with partner organizations that work in the field and on the ground in Central and Western Africa, and in Asia. Domestically, the Foundation supports programs in North America that further animal welfare causes and protect indigenous wildlife. By pursuing such projects, AAF aims to build capacity for its partners and promote long-term sustainability of conservation efforts.
- Since its inception, the Alexander Abraham Foundation (AAF) has supported dozens of projects around the world with partners ranging from the World Wildlife Fund and the Wildlife Conservation Society to non-profits staffed by a handful of scientists.
- The Alexander Abraham Foundation supports projects that further the foundation's goals by providing grants ranging from $1,000 to $50,000 for general operations or for specific projects. AAF also provides consulting services that enable grantees to become self-sustaining and improve their ability to promote their own missions.
