Youth Action for Peace is an international federation of autonomous national branches and associated groups, striving together to attain common goals. The branches are the full members of YAP, who decide together about the common priorities and activities of the movement.



The aims of the international movement recur within each branch, but there is also much variety, according to the local contexts and the specific choices of each branch. Thus the activities organised and issues tackled in each country and organisation are different. To be recognised as a national branch of YAP, the organisation must have a national vocation and must try to gather all the persons in the country claiming themselves to be part of YAP or working with YAP.
