The Western Finger Lakes Solid Waste Management Authority provides assistance to the Counties of Wayne and Yates in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State.  The Authority's primary mission is to provide the curbside recycling service to homes in Wayne County.  In addition, the Authority assists the two member counties with solid waste management sevices including technical assistance, project management and education.

Members of the Authority staff are active in professional organization in New York State for solid waste management and recycling and composting.

The Authority staff provides programs for school, scout and community groups on recycling and composting.
