About [Edit]
We are a small non-profit corporation dedicated to developing, implementing, and promoting appropriate web-based technologies to support local food networks.
We have a handful of very capable technical people who donate their time and talents to the cause, and are guided by a board of directors that include some of the top activists and researchers in fields such as: heritage seed preservation and promotion, alternative farming, organics and biodynamics, and innovative web technologies.
Australian Community Foods accepts members to its association on application. Generally, we are looking for people who can contribute time and skills on either a technical or business development level.
Of particular interest are people who are leaders in their community networks and wish to leverage their agendas through an active role in guiding the future development of the Australian Community Foods concept. This might include:
Food co-ops and Farmers co-ops
Farmers Markets
Community gardens
Farm gate sales and Harvest Trails
Seed-saving networks
Anyone else involved in connecting growers with their local communities
