About  [Edit]

Together We Build is an Interfaith Coalition of Christians, Jews, and Muslims seeking to find common ground and learning from one another as we work together to build houses for low-income families in East King County, Washington.

Vision

“The future belongs to those who are willing to take the first step.”

We live in one of the most beautiful places on earth.  Yet even here we face struggles.  How we come together during these times will determine how we evolve as a society.

Under the banner Together We Build A World Community, our group is striving to show the world that together, we can build a stronger community.  Our mission is to coordinate and support community projects that involve people of many faiths.  It is our belief that, working side by side, the fabric of community is strengthened.  Perhaps more importantly, we believe that through exposure, barriers are broken.  Appealing to the highest calling of each of our faiths, in the spirit of cooperation, we are striving to build a better world.

If we do this right, it is our deepest hope that others will follow.  In September, we will be constructing two Habitat for Humanity homes here on the Eastside.  Every step of the process will involve people from each of our faiths. This project will be receiving national attention.  It is the first time ever in the United States that such a group has been brought together on a Habitat for Humanity project.

For volunteers, this is a wonderful opportunity – we all grow and are strengthened by working outside traditional circles.  Join us.  There is a higher calling.  Lead by example.  Show how together, we can build a world class community.
