Mission :
The attainment of the highest possible level of health by the people of myanmar.
Vision :
Build a strong, proactive, technically excellent and dedicated WHO country team, part of a global network; provide leadership in health; and collaborate with governments, civil society and other partners.
Provide technical expertise in public health through partnerships with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare; state and local governments; development and other partners; and civil society; with focus on:
- Promoting health as a fundamental human right, and working to place health as an integral part of sustainable socio-economic development for the people of India
- Proactive and committed leadership in public health, with emphasis on:
- setting norms and standards;
- reducing the burden of excessive morbidity, disability and mortality;
- reducing the risk factors associated with major causes of disease;
- developing health systems to ensure equity in health
- promoting an effective health dimension to development policies in social, economic and environmental areas.
- Mobilizing, developing and optimally utilizing human and financial resources and promoting conducive working environments.

- World Health Organization, or WHO, is the international agency within the united Nations' system that is responsible for the health.
- WHO experts produce health guidelines and standards, and help countries to address public issues. WHO also supports and promotes health research.
- Through WHO, goverments can jontly tackle global health problems and improve people's well-being.
