The Organization for the Advancement of Literacy (OFAL) is incorporated in the State of Virginia and is a designated IRS 501c3 tax-exempt organization, with a mission of "Advancing Literacy through Technology." Our projects are designed to encourage the use of technology resources to advance social change and the human achievement. We are currently working in Sierra Leone, West Africa where we have provided scholarships to students, books and clothing to the displaced and have the long-term ten-year goal of constructing a vocational school to help the children, who are currently referred to by the United Nations as "the forgotten generation".
