About [Edit]
CODEPINK is a women initiated grassroots peace and social justice
movement that seeks positive change through creative action.
CODEPINK began with a four month vigil in Washington DC that
started in November 2002 and ended on International Women's Day,
March 8, 2003. Women from all over the country joined together to
protest the Bush Administration's obvious plan to take us to war. It
was a women's preemptive strike for peace.
CODEPINK began in reponse to the looming war in Iraq and continues working to end the occupation and bring the troops home. CODEPINK women have taken several delegations to Iraq and helped found the Occupation Watch Center.
