Vision
An educated, democratic society free from poverty and preventable illnesses, law abiding and respectful of human rights and the environment. A moral society with respect for Buddhism and Cambodian culture and traditions whilst being aware of the threats and opportunities presented by globalization.
With our vision for Cambodia to be an educated, democratic society freefrom poverty and preventable illnesses, law abiding and respectful of human rights and the environment and a moral society with respect for Buddhism and Cambodian culture and traditions whilst being aware of the threats and opportunities presented by globalization BFD will continue and extend our commitment to become a driving force for peace and development in the region as well as in the world.
We are currently focusing our works in the northwest of Cambodia including Battambang, Pailin, Banteay Meanchey, Oddor Meanchey, Siemreap, Kampong Thom, and Preah Vihear Province.
Our Strategic Aim on social development is to raise the knowledge and awareness of BFD target groups regarding local governance, civil society and rule of law, human rights, role of women in society, and Cambodian culture & traditions.
Our Strategic Aim on Health Improvement is to increase knowledge and awareness on health issues especially HIV/AIDS, and other preventable diseases.
Our Strategic Aim on education opportunity is to reducing the rate of illiteracy, providing education facilities, and opening opportunity for children to go to and continue their school until the end of High School.
Our Strategic Aim on economic development is to introducing small scale savings and credit schemes, income generation projects, and providing advice, information, and assistance for small businesses.
