About  [Edit]

The Alchemical Nursery Project

The Alchemical Nursery Project is a non-profit organization committed to promoting the development of sustainable urban lifestyles and landscapes. By providing the resources, dialogue space, and networks needed for those interested in the movement for sustainable cities, we are furthering our goal to contribute to the growth of the urban ecovillage movement locally, nationally, and globally.

We are developing our website to serve as an online clearinghouse of information and a social networking space for those interested in promoting and building sustainable cities, and we are interested in forming partnerships with other like-minded organizations. We have a continually growing online membership and a large newsletter mailing list, as well as a growing contingency of local members doing backflips for the cause on a daily basis. Our premier projects in Syracuse, such as the urban ecovillage development, the city-wide community gardening network, and the community warehouse, are all moving along at top speed thanks to the help of a committed team of inspired and inspiring individuals.

Online, members can create their own profiles and meet each other, upload files such as pertinent research articles and papers they have written to share with others, participate in the discussion forums, browse our links section, and learn more about what The Alchemical Nursery Project is up to. This is the premier website for people specifically interested in the movement for sustainable cities.

If you're interested, please check out our groupsite and join up, your energy and ideas are welcome! You can join our conversation at:    www.alchemicalnursery.org
