Mission Statement

The Permaforest Trust is about positive cultural change. Humanity has entered a unique period in its history: we have contributed to global ecological challenges that require fundamental changes in the ways we live.

This eco-challenge itself is a symptom of a larger condition related to how we understand the world and our place within it. In order to meet these challenges, we need to find ways to behave in harmony with the universe- physically, intellectually and spiritually. 

In promoting cultural evolution, we encourage a balance and integrated approach, ensuring sustainable activity on personal, cultural, and natural levels while honoring their relationship to the evolutionary continuum from body to mind to spirit.

Our aim is to be successful in practice and to help others learn to be successful in the practice of creating positive change.

The global sustainability challenge is of profound proportions and it requires of us profound changes; it also provides a unique opportunity to evolve a restorative, harmonious and sustainable society on a global basis. The mission of The Permaforest Trust is to facilitate this change by providing a place and a process through which people may learn, develop and experience how to participate effectively in the emergence of an ecologically sustainable, integral world.
