About  [Edit]

Vancouver for Peace is an ad-hoc group of Clark County citizens working for peace, justice and nonviolence. We are a grassroots group that formed out of our concern about the rush to war in Iraq in January of 2003.

Our dream is that all Clark County residents will have the opportunity for their rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and that the United States will work for these rights for all people everywhere.

Our group is made up of people from many groups in Clark County, Washington

The main purpose of this site is to publicize peacemaking activities and events in Clark County, Washington.

We have no membership, no bylaws, no officers, no hierarchy and try to work by consensus. We are non-sectarian and non-partisan.

We focus on doing things for peace and justice. We try to minimize meetings. We are all volunteer with no staff.

Everything that we do happens because someone decides to do it and makes it happen. We try to be a place people can find help when they want to do something.

We are happy to collaborate with other groups in the community. We would like to find ways to support young people in our community that want to work for peace and justic
