About [Edit]
The South African National Bird of Prey Centre is a registered non profit organisation dedicated to the conservation of not only South African raptors but all raptors world wide. With birds of prey being at the top of the food chain our concern includes all other life forms as well as the environment in which they live. The Centre is not just a place but an ethos for raptor conservation.
Our aim is to establish centres throughout South Africa and possibly even further afield.
At present we have established around seven centres and a mobile team that visits venues throughout South Africa and has been as far afield as Botswana.
We try to conserve raptors by rehabilitating injured or sick birds and releasing them back to the wild. Those that cannot be released become ambassadors for their species and help us to teach people about the beauty of these magnificent creatures.
Our educational program visits schools in all provinces - please contact us to book a visit of this unique and inspiring experience for your school or business.
