RMI – The Indonesian Institute for Forest and Environment – is an independent and non-profit organization that works on environmental issues, particularly related to natural resources management. RMI is legally constituted as foundation by Notary Public Ms. Muljani Sjafei, SH on September 18, 1992 in Bogor, West Java. In the way to understand and properly respond the environmental and social problems, RMI concentrates its programs on the community-based forest resources management system with gender perspective through activities of Education, Community Organizing, Facilitation, Particpatory Research and Media Campaign.
