About [Edit]
The Teleosis Institute is devoted to developing effective, sustainable healthcare provided by professionals who serve as environmental stewards. The Institute has three major goals:
To educate health professionals about the principles and practices of Ecologically Sustainable Medicine (ESM)
To build a community-based network for professionals providing sustainable health services
To provide access to high quality, cost-effective, sustainable medical services benefiting underserved populations and the environment in which we live
At the Teleosis Institute, we provide tools and resources for healthcare professionals to develop environmentally sound care strategies and create a new vision of sustainable healthcare.
Teleosis serves healthcare professionals through three, interlinked program areas. These are:
The educational program, which includes Symbiosis: the Journal of Ecologically Sustainable Medicine, on-line resources, and workshops on ESM
The ESM Network, a national, grassroots network of healthcare professionals who engage the vision of environmental stewardship and sustainable medicine
The clinical program, which delivers sustainable medical services to underserved populations
