The Institute of Hazrat Mohammad (SAW) was established on 23 February 2003. It is a non-profit and non-political organization registered under the Societies Act XXI of 1860, of the Government of Bangladesh. This is the first institutional setup in the name of Prophet Mohammad (SAW). Following are its vision, mission, aim and objectives:
Vision
Our vision is to create an environment for peaceful coexistence in the society irrespective of caste, creed and class through correct interpretation and practice of the teachings of Islam and its propagation by establishing an international process.
Mission
Our mission is to initiate institution based approach for human development committed towards establishing social justice, human rights and respect for individual choice and dignity as promoted by Islam.
Aim
Our aim to disseminate the basic principles of Islam and teachings of Prophet Mohammad (SAW) that emphasize peace and love for all Allah's creations and education through implementation of different programs that focus on literacy, poverty alleviation, research, basic rights and development of the individual and the community regardless of religious denominations.
Objectives
Our objectives are to:
* To carry out research on tenets of Islam in the light of contemporary issues and analyze historical events for documentation as a tool for educating on various aspects of individual and community development.
*To encourage individuals to learn about their respective religions and thereby promote mutual respect and tolerance.
*To propagate the true meaning of Islam – that is ‘Peace' for encouraging a system of learning that is based on the protection of human rights and social justice.
*To establish the rights of women as envisaged in Islam and emphasized by Prophet Mohammad (SAW) for creating an enabling environment for their access to education, social and family rights and justice.
*To promote and create opportunities for the physically and mentally challenged people for their self-reliance and social acceptance.
*To initiate a child friendly and comprehensive learning process for children to develop their moral character with regard to understanding their role in family and society as taught in Islam with special emphasis on respect towards elders, tolerance and positive attitude.
*To promote and properly administer egalitarian wealth distribution system in accordance to the modalities defined by Islam for; alleviating poverty, enlarging employment market for the poor and enhancing the quality of life in general.
*The Institute of Hazrat Mohammad (SAW) since its inception has undertaken various programs towards fulfilling its objectives and achieving its overall aim.
