About  [Edit]

Our mission is to help our clients “create waves of positive change” through strategic planning, marketing and sustainable management practices.

We typically work with for-profit social enterprises or nonprofit organizations that provide community-enhancing services and/or products.  We specialize in reaching the socially consciously target market (LOHAS) and/or in developing campaigns to raise awareness or initiate socia change in the general population.

We employ a full range of methodologies including the more traditional strategic marketing and social marketing tactics taught in academic circles, as well as some of the newer marketing philosophies like green marketing, education-based marketing, and social change -- whatever is most appropriate to you and your organization’s overall needs and goals.

And we work with our clients collaboratively.  This means, we’ll provide you with the expertise you want and work with you (and within your budget) to create the positive changes you’re looking for—whether those are revenue changes, or social changes (or both!).

Our tongue-in-cheek philosophy is that marketing should be “used for good instead of evil.”  In other words, we won’t use methods (like fear or guilt) that generate negative emotions in your audience or target market in order to get them to act.  Ours is the positive path—and it’s a path of proven success!

We also believe in giving back and in setting an example of giving. To that end, we donate a minimum of 10% of all net revenues back into the community.  Half of that is donated to environmental programs (we are a member of
1% for the Planet and plant trees through American Forests).  In addition, we've balanced our carbon footprint by reducing our energy output, sponsoring clean energy and carbon reduction projects through TerraPass.

The other half of our donations are made as cash or in-kind services to local nonprofits benefiting women, children and the homeless
