The Friends of Nore Barn Woods is a group of local, Emsworth, Residents who aim to conserve and make more the woods more pleasant for the general public. The Friends are affiliated to The British Trust for Conservation Volunteers and work closely with Havant Borough Council who are responsible for the woods as an open public space.
We are currently working towards:
- Improved access for the disabled.
- The provision of an information board.
- In the longer term in addition to continue ongoing maintenance we intend to investigate and record more accurately the diversity of flora and fauna of the woods.
Recent work : Planting of 100 hedge saplings to restore gaps in Solent Way hedge , which borders the north of the wood.
