About [Edit]

Polcum Springs is 203 acres of rural, mountainous terrain in inland Northern Mendocino County. Located 25 minutes northwest of Laytonville, Polcum Springs is a place to enjoy life’s simple pleasures: swimming in the spring-fed pond, hiking, bird and animal watching, stargazing, wildcrafting, outdoor dining, sunbathing, stormwatching, mushroom hunting, and gathering with friends.
Here we aim to create and sustain a residential community – focused on ecological responsibility, self-knowledge, loving relationships, and connection to spirit – which will be shared with others for retreat, renewal and learning.
We intend to grow our community in phases, staying within the carrying capacity of the land. Ultimately, we aspire to become a thriving residential village of 15 - 25 people of all ages and types.
We value learning from and living in harmony with the land and her creatures. We value permaculture, restoration activities, healing arts, right livelihood, and the practice of non-violent communication as tools for harmonizing with ourselves and other living beings. We are spiritually-diverse, and we celebrate the seasons and earth rhythms. We especially love preparing and eating meals together.
We are currently seeking new community members. Please visit our website to learn more about Polcum Springs and our community process.
