Teachers Without Borders
- Teachers who make a difference on a global scale -
- Teachers who make a difference on a global scale -
Teachers Without Borders is a non-profit (501c3), non-denominational, international NGO founded in 2000, devoted to closing the education divide through teacher professional development and community education. Our organization focuses on the building of teacher leaders. We work primarily, but not exclusively, in developing countries, in order to build self-reliance, health, and capacity.
Our Mission:
Teachers Without Borders (TWB) provides professional training to K-12 teacher leaders worldwide and helps them play a vital role in their communities. We have members in 119 countries, a small staff, Country Coordinators, and a large group of volunteers. We identify, support, train, and share the accomplishments of local teacher leaders, supported by global colleagues. We work online and face to face, through local partners respected by the community.
What We Do:
Core Programs
- Our Certificate of Teaching Mastery is a five-course professional development program designed to help teachers become mentors and leaders
- Our full course catalogue provides opportunities to access our own and partner courses. Consider this a global teachers' university
- With membership (Join Here - it's free) in Teachers Without Borders, you can also create your own courses
- TWB Conferences and Community Teaching and Learning Centers support local teacher leaders to work effectively in the field
- TWB Tools help connect teacher leaders to information and each other in order to scale and share their efforts
