Purpose Statement

The Organization for the Study of Political Conflict is concerned with the political, social, and cultural issues regarding threats to stability in industrialized nations. The group will seek to promote greater awareness and understanding of these issues in the Harvard community through travel, research, lectures, guest speakers, and study groups. Although it does concern itself with all political conflict in industrialized nations, the organization will chiefly concern itself with the political, procedural, and policy effects that come from the disagreement of ruling parties, powers, or governmental actors.
