Surrounded by rice terraces and rise of tourism in Yuan Yang, a sustainable ecotourism project was born to increase Yuan Yang local people’s income and preserve their tradition, culture and natural environment.

 

Window of Yuan Yang serve as a window to support community training for local tour guides to visit scenic rice terraces and also for local Hani and Yi tribes women to make handicrafts, which embody their unique cultural ethnic characteristics

 

The project also establishes model eco-tourism villages and organizes training on ecological conservation. Currently, this project has been supported by World Vision in Yuan Yang, Yunnan.
