Arise and Shine Mission is a non-profit, Non-Government Organization that serves marginalized people of the peri-urban and rural areas of Uganda. We reach out to vulnerable families and at risk children. AASM is non-denominational and non-discriminatory. The agency’s activities are not bound by race, color, religious, tribal, or political differences.



Our mission:



Arise and Shine Mission seeks to make a difference in the lives of the very poor, particularly vulnerable children and their families. Fully convinced that all families possess strengths, which can be enhanced with appropriate services, AASM hopes to prepare them for a better living by providing services that are basic and fundamental in nature, and that are development-centered and capacity-directed. The agency seeks to provide all clients with a basic foundation for a better living. It is our mission to act as service provider agency delivering services comparable to other services by other social agencies so as to prepare clients for a better stake in the community. We purpose to cause them to ARISE and have a chance to reach heights they would never have managed to reach without help.



Our Goal:



Our goal is to provide children and families with the services and community supports they need to thrive as individuals within their families and communities. We believe in the importance of family stability and permanency for the safety and well being for children and for everyone.

The goals of Arise and Shine can best be outlined as follows:

Ensure child protection, development and good upbringing. AASM aims to ensure that children are brought up in environments that don't hinder their development.



Ensure that every child belongs to a family and grows with love, respect and security.



Strengthen and uphold the family as the primary institution for socialization of the children through support of its systems.
