GAIA FOUNDATION is a non-profit organization active in promotion of sustainable development and creation of livable communities with better quality of life. Sustainable development was defined at the Earth Summit (1992) in Rio De Janeiro as integrated strategies that would halt and reverse the negative impact of human behavior and technology on physical environment and allow for livable environment for future generations on Earth.
The work is done through multiple means, such as educational programs, demonstrations of sustainable technologies, providing consulting to non-governmental, governmental organizations, and businesses in developing policies on local, state, national and international level. Also we are working on practical projects within a community where we reside. We are providing guidance and technical support to volunteers and professionals who are dedicated to improvement of our blue planet. Our motto is: THINK GLOBALLY, ACT LOCALLY
