Objectives: The objectives of ASOFERWA are to: improve the living conditions of widows, young mothers and non-accompanied children; ensure the holistic development of these target groups within their communities; and to educate and mobilise communities to take action for social change.
Activities: The Association provides humanitarian assistance in the form of seeds and agricultural produce to the displaced; places children in foster homes; finds adoptive parents for orphans; organizes women into income-generation activities and home building; and identifies vulnerable groups in certain pilot zones.
