NCYL

The National Council on Youth Leadership is a not-for-profit organization. Founded in 1976, NCYL is dedicated to the belief that the recognition, encouragement and leadership skills we give to young men and women today serve as a powerful inspiration that can shape their behavior in tomorrow's world.

The National Council on Youth Leadership helps young people grow into responsible adults by encouraging, recognizing and developing leadership through:

- Creating public awareness of the importance and power of youth leadership.
- Providing hands-on programs to build advanced leadership skills.
- Impacting positive peer influence.
- Offering achievement awards and scholarships.
- Saluting outstanding adult commitment to youth.
- Encouraging community involvement in developing future leaders.

Purpose

To recognize and foster high ideals of leadership and integrity among the youth of America.
