Mission
Helping the Marshallese to manage and protect their atoll environments and to use their resources sustainably.
- MICS future projects with local partners will include mariculture for alternative income, outreach to tourists and visitors, video production for local TV environmental radio plays and dramas, expanded NGO services, outer island workshops on environment, pollution and fisheries, support for community groups, environmental impact assessment codes of environmental practice, mooring buoy placement, VHF radio hotline to report longline and destructive fishing infringements.
