The Healthy Building Network (HBN) is a national network of green building professionals, environmental and health activists, socially responsible investment advocates and others who are interested in promoting healthier building materials as a means of improving public health and preserving the global environment.
Major projects include:
Pharos - a project to comprehensively evaluate the health, environmental and social justice impacts of building materials through an open source, user driven tool.
Unity Homes - a project to develop modular affordable housing that is healthy, green and sensitive to social justice issues.
Green Guide for Health Care - providing guidance for building and operating health care facilities that are healthy and environmentally sound.
