The purpose of the Trust is to encourage security, public safety, the prevention of crime and a reduction in the fear of crime for the benefit of the residents of the City of Aberdeen.



We will encourage communities to apply local answers to local problems, help build safety partnerships and broaden the ownership of and responsibility for, community safety.



Community groups will be able to apply for funding, to enable them to put their community safety ideas into practice. Applicants will need to prove that what they intend to do is done in consultation with the community, tackles an identified community safety need and can last for some time.
