To promote and protect human rights especially of the underprivileged such as dalits, tribal people, children, urban poor etc; to take up advocacy for victims of human rights violations along with legal aid and human rights education are the main aims of SICHREM.
SICHREM monitors and documents the status of human rights in South India, advocates on behalf of victims of human rights violations, educates the public about human rights issues and works to influence government policies.
