About [Edit]
Permaculture Across Borders (PAB) is a globally-focused permaculture non-profit whose aim is to provide and pass on technical expertise to further sustainable and integrated practices that create permanent abundance.
Permaculture Across Borders commits to tapping into local knowledge and experience; to connecting people to resources; to training teachers and leaders of regenerative development in their communities; to giving individuals and communities a place to share their knowledge; and to listen to and learn from that shared knowledge.

Goals
- To build permaculture demonstration and teaching sites in partnership with local communities
- To sponsor poor students' participation in PDC courses
- To provide internship and teaching opportunities for PDC graduates
- To connect financial and technical resources to communities
- To connect sister cities and regions so that experiences can be shared and to learn from those shared experiences
History
Permaculture Across Borders evolved from teacher-student discussions at Permaculture Design Certificate courses around the world. A foundation was envisioned that would build upon local knowledge by supporting community-based demonstration and education sites, and that would connect communities, cities and regions to each other to create a shared knowledge database .

Projects
PAB is launching its first major project in collaboration with Children of Uganda in the Rakai district of southern Uganda. Working with and learning from the local community, Children of Uganda and Permaculture Across Borders are partnering to bring greater food sustainability to a Boarding School and Home for orphaned and vulnerable children in South-Western Uganda. PAB will facilitate a permaculture-based approach to achieve greater food, water, & energy self-sufficiency and establish the Home as a community resource for learning, teaching, and spreading sustainable agriculture practices.
PAB continues to support Mahboba's Promise and their welfare & sustainable development projects for the women and children of Afghanistan.
We appreciate your support and collaboration. For further information on these and other opportunities please email us at:
