Successful Experiences in the Prevention of Violence is a set of events of La Fundación La Guaca, which sees these experiences themselves as a conscious and free life choice which moves the social actors to become involved in social construction processes. This construction requires a commitment from life, with life and for life which implies announcement, denouncement, and choices for the most needy.

In these 11 years of work we have succeeded in consolidating a successful proposal for the prevention of violence, 11 years of creating not only personal life projects but also social ones which stimulate the transformation of the surrounding area. Eleven years of harvesting the products of experiences which lead to the sensitization of individuals, groups and communities to build a better world and environment.



Eleven years in which social services in the violence prevention experience are understood as the possibility of "recognition by diverse ethnic groups and cultures that life with dignity might be possible for human beings", from different components such as education, security, the reduction of violence, physical, psychic and spiritual well-being of the child/youth implied in the process.



Eleven years in which in the field of Civic Commitment and Cultural Vitality, it is important to point out that the violence and crime prevention models are the result of concrete facts and for this reason Community Libraries have been created, not only as spaces for access to books, but also as encounter spaces to involve the child/youth in sensitization processes about their reality, together with services such as videolibrary, toylibrary and all of those wholesome expressions for the use of free time.
