About [Edit]
The Children’s Alliance is a statewide member-based advocacy organization working to change public policies and priorities so that all children have what they need to thrive. We have been working to improve the lives of children for more than 20 years.
Our strength lies in bringing people together for kids - from the Governor's office to local communities. Working with organizations and individual who care passionately about children, we influence Legislators and other policymakers, mobilze child advocates around the state, and connect families and communities to programs that benefit children.
The Alliance works on issues such as: making health care available to every child, fighting the effects of poverty, ending childhood hunger, getting junk food out of our schools, ensuring that all children have the early learning experiences they need to succeed, and improving the State's response to abused and neglected children.
The Children's Alliance's initiatives and priorities are informed by a broad network of advisors, volunteers and members, including 120 organizations and more than 7,000 individuals. This network also allows us to build broad coalitions of support. Together, we accomplish what no single organization can.
