The objectives of the ACPC have been defined in the following way:
1. To respect, protect and conserve the cultural and natural heritage of the Ashaninka whose territory is located in the county of Satipo, department of Junin.
2.To ensure the indigenous participation in the management of the complex of Vilcabamba's protected areas, and to impel their recognition as biosphere reserve
3. To promote concern, and to give support to anthropological and biological research, and in general, all scientific activities in the Vilcabamba mountain range.
4. To organise a rational promotion of the region taking care to respect the customs of the natives, as well as the fauna and flora of the area.
5. To participate actively and to unify criteria with other Peruvian and/or foreign associations or institutions whose conservation goals are similar.
