Background: Founded as a Trust on the 9th day of February 1999 by a group of patriotic Kenyans drawn from varied professional pursuits to help the disadvantaged communities in the coastal region of Kenya in particular.



Objectives: To enable the poor, disadvantaged, vulnerable & marginalised peoples of the Coast Province of Kenya, and Kenyans generally, to access our justice system affordably and expeditiously; impart legal awareness through civic education via outreach programs down to the rural peoples on human rights, democracy, good governance etc.



Activities: Activities include: legal awareness and civic education, advocacy, legal aid, alternative dispute resolution, and women`s empowerment.
