Picture1 CGER(Center for Global Environmental Research)carries out long-term and continuous monitorings relevant to global environmental issues over wide areas, integrates studies of the global environment, and supports global environmental research. Currently, more than ten monitoring projects are being conducted with international cooperation. The projects cover the stratosphere, the troposphere, the ocean, inland water, and biosphere, particularly in the East Asia and West Pacific regions.

Mission

The mission of the Center for Global Environmental Research [CGER] is to promote scientific understanding of the consequences of human activities on the earth system and to propose countermeasures to these consequences.
