Vision
To empower people with disabilities from ethnic backgrounds, their carers and families to fully participate as members of the Victorian community.
Mission
To assist people with disabilities from ethnic backgrounds, their carers and families to access services and ensure that service systems are inclusive and responsive to their needs.
Values
1) ADEC believes that individuals and their needs should be the primary focus of human services.
2) ADEC values services that empower people within the community.
3) ADEC believes in the potential of each individual regardless of complexity of issues.
4) ADEC believes in working in partnership with each individual to fulfil their goals.
5) ADEC values the diversity of communities.
6) ADEC respects the right of each individual to self-determination and active participation in services provided.
7) ADEC respects the dynamic, diversity and interdependence of relationships surrounding each individual.
8) People of all ages with a disability from ethnic communities who reciuire culturally specific and multicultural services.
9) Older people with increasing levels of frailty and disability from ethnic communities.

18) Generic service providers who deliver services to people with a disability from ethnic communities, their carers and families.
19) Service providers, community organisations and individuals seeking information, education, research and planning services for people with a disability from ethnic communities, their carers and families.
