Who We Are

The primary goal of Recycled Fish is to engage outdoors-men and women as the primary stewards of the resource, both on and off the water. We think that the number one vehicle to do that will be partnerships, so we seek to develop partnerships around programs, projects and initiatives. A perfect partnership ties together individual anglers or outdoorsmen, other conservation groups doing good work to help steward the resource, outdoor companies who require strong fisheries and a healthy resource to be successful, and media outlets who can put a bullhorn on what’s being done. We know we’ve accomplished a “win” when every party experiences measurable, tangible benefits - most of all, the resource itself.

Recycled Fish in a nutshell

There’s some great fishing to be enjoyed all across America, but a tragically high number of our waters don’t support as many fish as they once did, or have the potential to. Many only support smaller fish, or no longer support native species. Many of our waters are in decline due to over harvest, habitat destruction, pollution and other factors.

Put simply: the fishing’s not what it could be, and that’s too bad.

On the bright side, there are also some tremendous success stories of decimated fisheries that have been revitalized. Recycled Fish works to see all of our fisheries follow the example set in those rejuvenated waters through partnerships with other conservation and environmental agencies, and with cooperation with individuals who are passionate about our natural resources - especially anglers.
