WEST VINCENT TOWNSHIP LAND TRUST
In January 1999 the WEST VINCENT LAND TRUST, INC. was officially incorporated and recognized as a tax exempt organization. This organization intends to:
* serve the needs of West Vincent Township in the preservation, conservation and stewardship of open space including agriculturally productive lands and natural areas. * assist the Supervisors and Planning Commission in decisions regarding open space planning and land acquisition.
* provide assistance to landowners in the Township who wish to pursue conservation objectives in their long and short term plans for their properties.
* establish an “Endowment Fund” to provide operating revenue for stewardship and planning activities.
* serve as a liaison with conservation and historic preservation organizations, such as the French and Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust and Green Valleys Association and promote the services that they can offer.
* purchase development rights, accept lands, conservation easements and trails from donors, including developers and establish management procedures with Homeowners Association
* provide an organization to accept ownership of existing trail easements created under subdivision.
* carry out the purposes and programs as more fully set forth in the Articles of Incorporatio
