The main aim of Biomasa Association is to contribute to the utilization of renewable energy sources, mainly biomass, in Slovakia.

Aim of the association

• To participate on process associated with the utilization of the renewable energy sources by information dissemination and implementation of new environmental friendly biomass involving technologies.
• To provide heat for member's municipal buildings in affordable price and using local renewable energy sources.

By its activities, the association tries to inform and prove the rational use of renewable energy sources, the important energy savings, the high potential of the biomass in Slovakia and the concrete contributions regarding the decrease in the environment pollution.

The mission is also mobilization of small local communities towards realizing that, it‘s necessary to seek efficient ways of local resources usage, under the conditions of sustainable development.

BIOMASA association is planning to extend it's scope of activities about combination of other alternative resources. As it is in other European countries, biomass using is convenient to combine with solar energy for hot water heating.
